Meet Jessica

I come to photography with a love of art and storytelling. With advanced degrees in art and art history, I’ve spent years studying how images capture emotion and tell stories across time. I also enjoy preserving family histories and cherish looking at family photos of loved ones and distant relatives.

After my daughter was born, my love for images became more salient. I found myself wanting to capture every small change and milestone. The days moved quickly, and I became acutely aware of how quickly time passes and how easily moments slip away. Photography became a way to slow down and preserve those fleeting moments through images.

My passion for visual storytelling grew into Rosemary & Wren Photography. Rosemary is a symbol of remembrance. It is tied to memory, family, and the comfort of home. Wren, the small, joyful songbird, represents life in motion. It embodies the laughter of children, the changing seasons of parenthood, and the beauty of everyday moments. Rosemary & Wren Photography captures these joyful, familial moments in beautiful, timeless images to be enjoyed for generations.

My Aesthetic

In my photography practice, I combine precise technical expertise with visual storytelling to capture beautiful family moments. My editing style tends towards natural and true-to-life colors and tones. Here are a few qualities you’ll find in my work:

  • vibrancy of color

  • beautiful plays of light

  • softness and warmth

  • harmonious compositions

  • careful attention to detail

  • genuine expressions and emotions
